Climate simulator
This interactive climate simulator presents how France’s weather might look over the whole of this century. This presentation is intended to raise awareness rather than to be a working tool for climate change impact studies or for preparing adaptation measures.
The climate simulations presented here constitute two possible examples of future climate conditions calculated by theMétéo-France model based on two hypotheses about the development of concentrations of greenhouse gases (A2 and B2) for parameters selected at the top of the page and for a location selected on the map of France. For each parameter, they supply daily data averaged out over a period of your choice. These are not event-driven forecasts and only average changes over several decades are meaningful.
The points represent the centres of the meshes of the model, i.e. the centre of the little areas (approximately 50km wide by 1 km deep) where the model resolves the development equations for wind, pressure, temperature and humidity. The results provided correspond to the value at the nearest black point to the place selected.
